Airy Yet Deeply Felt -
The Orchestergesellschaft Weil am Rhein […]
“As soloist, outstanding Basel concert guitarist Christoph Denoth showed true empathy for the Spanish tone colour, instrumental subtleties and technical finesse and truly gorgeous Mediterranean tunes. The guitarist played his solo part with a filigree and subtle sound alternating with more accented parts in a dialog with the orchestra having the dances ring out with a lot of rhythmic colour. Recital with Classical Guitar - Talent and Empathy!
“The Church of Saint Grégoire has known a beautiful moment of classical music. Besides, the guest performer was quite prestigious as well: Swiss Christoph Denoth, who has enjoyed ovations at the great Carnegie Hall in New York, had agreed to give an evening recital at Tourrettes. […]

Christoph Denoth studied in Lucerne, Basel, and Zurich; he counts Konrad Ragossnig, Pepe Romero, and Oscar Ghiglia among his teachers. […]
An Extensive Repertoire
By now, his repertoire ranges from Renaissance to contemporary music such as Nocturnos de Andalucía, the concert for guitar and orchestra written by Lorenzo Palomo that he played in Berlin. A CD released last year focused on the oeuvre of English Renaissance composer John Dowland; last December he performed for the first time at New York’s Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall).”
